DESCRIPTION:

This prototype was completed for an interactive infographic of films shot in San Francisco from 1915 to present. It went through three rounds of design. The first wireframes and interactions were too hard to navigate through and the graphics and timeline slider were distracting. The second wireframes were completed and turned into a Flash prototype with voiceover. Again, the graphics were too distracting and hard to navigate through. In the last prototype film selection navigation was moved to the bottom of the screen above the fold and the top navigation was cleaned up. The map became much easier to read when the navigation and film selection was moved.
