DESCRIPTION:

This recipe website was inspired by Chef Julia Child's pegboard kitchen. Pots, pans, and other utensils were neatly in their place on the board in her kitchen. I wanted a neat, clean, and modern feel to the website. It is very neutral in color and the lines are broken down. The text in the logo and the text in the navigation are inspired by a vintage label maker I found at a flea market. Julia Child also used label makers to organize her kitchen. I love the basic shapes of typography colon and curly brackets. I wanted to use the colon and curly brackets for this sites navigation and breadcrumb navigation trail because of their simple yet elegant modern feel.
