Helvetica Poster

Work Information:
Tools: Adobe Illustrator 5.1
DESCRIPTION:
Helvetica is a neutral font used in many ads, forms, and signs. The New York subway uses Helvetica for their subway signs and I wanted to play off of this theme. The poster is literally made from the New York subway map. It utilizes the major lines to spell Helvetica. Helvetica was created in Switzerland and so I used the Swiss colors red and white. My second poster was inspired by government forms and the neutrality of standardized tests. Again, I used the Swiss red and white but also added the black background. The black is effective with high gloss. Both posters are 24"x48"
